Artistic Director

Dr. Angelica Dunsavage joins the Phoenix Girls Chorus from Nashville, TN, where she served as Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Choirs at Tennessee State University. Dr. Dunsavage received her DMA in Choral Conducting and Music Education from University of Arizona. She received her MM in Choral Conducting from Bowling Green State University, and her BS in Music Education from Indiane University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Dunsavage currently serves as Chief Editor of Publications for the National Collegiate Choral Organization. She has presented posters and interest sessions for ACDA, NCCO, NafME and College Music Society conferences. She remains in demand as a clinician, composer/arranger, vocal teacher, professional chorister, and mezzo-soprano soloist.

She has held state, regional and national positions as a journal editor and is in demand as a clinician, session presenter, and mezzo-soprano soloist. Dr. Dunsavage is active as a composer and arranger for treble ensembles and is an advocate for singer holistic health and body mapping.
